    Charly established Sage Solicitors in 2002 as a boutique inner-west law firm predominantly handling complex and urgent Supreme Court litigation. Charly has 20 years litigation experience, which has involved commercial disputes, property disputes and Corporations Act claims.

    Charly advises insolvency practitioners as well as private corporations and directors on all types of Corporations Act issues, including proper asset protection, voidable transactions and matters involving the rights, obligations and powers of external administrators.

    Charly’s experience as a criminal lawyer as well as his extensive insolvency experience has made him a formidable family law lawyer who has acted in complex and high profile family law matters.

    Andrew has almost 25 years of experience in commercial dispute resolution in NSW, the ACT and Tasmania. Throughout his career, Andrew has worked principally as a litigation solicitor preparing large commercial cases for trial in the Equity Division of the Supreme Court and other higher courts.

    In his time at Sage Andrew has developed an expertise in insolvency work and undertakes this work primarily for Sydney based firms of Liquidators and Trustees in Bankruptcy.

    His insolvency work includes the following:

    • Conducting historical investigations of companies that are in Liquidation or bankrupt individuals to determine whether action should be taken to avoid prior transactions in the interests of creditors;
    • Conducting examinations of directors under the Corporations Act 2001 in the Supreme Court of NSW;
    • Advising clients as to rights and obligations as Liquidator, Receiver and/or Trustee in Bankruptcy;
    • Conducting proceedings under the avoidance provisions of the Corporations Act 2001 and the Bankruptcy Act 1966;
    • Conducting other commercial litigation arising out of Liquidations or Bankruptcies.

    Andrew also conducts commercial litigation matters in areas such as partnerships, commercial tenancy disputes, building disputes and debt recovery.

    Andrew has a strong sense of justice and believes that solicitors play a critical role in commercial litigation and that the key to success is preparation.


    Luisa-Maria Maroun - Solicitor

    Luisa has 10 years’ experience in family law, and wills and estates. She has a warm, knowledgeable approach, working with clients to achieve the best possible outcomes in matters which are often of a sensitive and emotionally-charged nature.

    Highly experienced in family law, Luisa assists clients with advice and representation in a range of areas including divorce, property settlement and parenting matters. She has been extensively involved in mediation and family dispute conferences, as well as engaging with Counsel in representing clients with complex legal issues.

    Luisa also has substantial expertise in estate planning; advising on and drafting all forms of estate planning documents including Wills (including testamentary trusts), Powers of Attorney, Enduring Guardianships, Living Wills and Binding Death Benefit Nominations.

    Experienced in contested estates, Luisa is proactive, working with clients to reduce the risk of a claim being made, as well as assisting clients who have been left out of a Will or insufficiently provided for. Luisa is also highly skilled in estate administration work including Probate matters and Letters of Administration.

    Luisa has strong advocacy skills and was previously registered with the NSW Legal Aid panel. Before she joined Sage Solicitors, Luisa worked in several well-respected Sydney-CBD and Western Sydney-based firms.


    David Foletta – Senior Solicitor (Building and Construction)

    David is currently employed as a Senior Solicitor, working primarily in the area of Building and Construction Law. David provides legal advice to strata managers, owners corporations, developers, architects, builders, home owners, building consultants and subcontractors in relation to construction contract drafting, administration, negotiation, alternative dispute resolution and litigation. David is highly experienced with Australian Standards; MBA; HIA; ABIC, NSW Office of Fair Trading and NSW Government Contract (e.g. GC21) contracts and also reviews and advises clients in relation to custom drafted contracts, providing clients with "Special Conditions" to modify standard contracts for all types of standard form contracts including design and construct, construct only and construction management/ project management contracts. David worked in the construction industry prior to becoming a lawyer and brings that practical knowledge and experience to his legal practice.


    Jamie Dimeo

    Jamie is a Solicitor at Sage Solicitors, specialising in the areas of disputes and litigation, corporate and personal insolvency and restructuring, and criminal law.

    Having worked across various legal disciplines, in both international and boutique specialist firms, in the areas of litigation, insolvency and restructuring, banking and finance and charities law, Jamie has developed a broad and diverse spectrum of experience and skills.

    Jamie has also worked as a solicitor at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (NSW), at which he excelled at the prosecution of serious criminal matters and instructing in jury trials.

    His diverse legal experience, together with his effectiveness, commercial acumen, and meticulous work ethic, has made Jamie a relentless and tenacious litigator whom his clients depend upon and trust to protect, assert and advance their critical interests and objectives.

    Jamie was a Finalist in the Lawyers Weekly 2025 Best 30 Under 30 in dual categories of Insolvency and Banking & Finance.

    Through his studies at the University of Technology (Sydney), Jamie achieved the Dean’s Merit List for Academic Excellence and was awarded as the Best Performing Student in the subjects of Insolvency / Corporate Insolvency and Environmental Planning & Development Law.
